Ring in the New Year and Then FLUSH it Out! - FRUIT FLUSH 3-DAY DETOX Provides Damage Control for Too Much Holiday Cheer

(PRWEB) November 28, 2007 -- The holidays are a time of year where parties are abundant and food and drink flow freely--tempting many of us to overindulge all too easily. Giving in to too much holiday cheer can result in additional pounds and a clogged up system. New Year resolutions are one way to go--but a person can increase their odds quickly with a easy-to-follow "quick-start" program, like Jay Robb's 72-hour Fruit Flush.

There may be a way to overindulge during the holidays, to ring in the New Year...and then to flush it out. Jay Robb, clinical nutritionist and author of the FRUIT FLUSH 3-DAY DETOX, says individuals can provide themselves with a "mini tune-up" by following this 3-Day Detox diet which helps to flush the body of harmful toxins and excess pounds--up to 9 pounds in just 3 days! Sound too good to be true? Jay confirms, "The FRUIT FLUSH is the ultimate diet to get healthy and lean fast, both easily and safely (www.jayrobb.com). The nutrients in fruit help to dissolve stored toxins, and the water and fiber in fruit help to flush them out while a person loses weight. A fruit-rich diet also fortifies the body as well as speeds the liver's metabolism of environmental toxins."

How to Perform the FRUIT FLUSH:
Day 1: The Pre-flush.
Drink 6 ounces of protein mix (1 ¼ cup protein powder and 1 quart water) every two hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 6 p.m. eat 3-6 cups of raw vegetable salad and 3-6 ounces of lean chicken, fish, turkey, or beef. Top the salad with 1-2 ounces of olive or flax seed oil, or half an avocado, and the juice of half a lemon or lime. Drink an 8- or 12-ounce glass of water one hour after each protein drink or meal.

Days 2 and 3: Fruit Flush.
Eat one serving of fresh fruit every two hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. At 6 p.m. eat 3-6 cups of raw vegetable salad (as in day one). Also drink one protein drink mixed with 12 ounces of water and 5 tablespoons of protein powder.
What constitutes one serving of fruit? According to the book, this can vary. One serving equals 6 medium apricots, 1 ½ cups of blueberries or blackberries, 1 large mango, or 2 medium apples.

Fruit Flush Regularly for Good Health and for Weight-loss
Robb recommends regular cleansing once or twice a month. For weight loss, perform the flush once a week for up to 12 consecutive weeks. Then take a short break (a week or two off), and start up again. "The diet is based on natural fruits and vegetables, so it's not just like water fasting or an herbal cleanse. Unlike extensive 30-day (and longer) detox/fasts, the Fruit Flush only requires three days of regimented eating and then four days off. If you do it back to back, you could slow your metabolism. For a longer program, try my FRUIT DIET 14-Day Rapid Weight-loss Program," says Robb.
