WHERE: City College of San Francisco Ocean Campus
50 Phelan Avenue (corner of Phelan and Judson)
WHY: Grand opening of the new student health facility with its experienced, professional staff providing a wide array of health and psychological services to support student's academic success.
WHO: Brief welcoming remarks from:
Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco), Member of Congress, 8th District
Gavin Newsom, Mayor, City and County of San Francisco (invited)
Dr. Natalie Berg, President, City College of San Francisco Board of Trustees, and other Members of the Board of Trustees
Dr. Philip R. Day, Jr., Chancellor, City College of San Francisco
CCSF faculty, staff and students will also be available for comment
Photo opportunities:
Classroom instruction. Tours of the new Student Health Services building while students are being served (i.e., general medical needs, psychology counseling, eye examinations, HIV counseling and testing, nutrition counseling, weight management) and interns are working on new equipment provided by federal funding secured for the College by Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi.
Parking: Reserved parking is available in the upper level of the Reservoir on Phelan Avenue across from the new Student Health Center.
